Transformations of Mars and Venus

Planetary changes have the effect of an actor taking on a new role. The essence of the planet stays the same, but the mood and personality of the planet transform. Such is the case this week when Mars shifts into Aquarius, where the emphasis is on technological wizardry, radical ideas in action and aggressive action taken for higher causes. Venus harmoniously chimes in with a move to Gemini, also an air sign.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Life loves patterns. It’s how the natural order is established. Patterns get made whether we want them or not. Considering that every pattern starts in the same way, with a first time, some things are better not to begin at all. For the pattern you desire, take your first action on Thursday and watch it stick.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You used to think only narcissists referred to themselves in the third-person, but science proves this style of self-talk is highly effective in calming and motivating. For internal dialogue, try dropping the “I” and using your own name or he/she/they. It will help you treat yourself as lovingly as you do other people.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). It’s like the carnival this week. You want the prize, but the prizes aren’t for sale. You could do the real-world equivalent of tracking down the manufacturer, but it will take so long and just won’t be the same. Roll your sleeves up, and get ready to figure this out. To win what you want, you have to get in the game.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). This week, you’ll get better at the art of framing — not pictures but just about everything else. When you hear a complaint, you reframe it as a request. When you encounter a problem, you reframe it as an opportunity. When you see a flaw, you reframe it as an interesting feature. The skill becomes your key to success.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The spatial relationship of things factors into your ideas of symmetry, order and attractiveness. The same is true on an emotional level. An awareness of your spatial preferences gives you the best chance at appreciating when things are just right for you and steering toward improvement when they’re not.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). If you don’t conduct some sort of experiment this week, you’ll get bored. Go for the fresh excitement. Here’s something to keep in mind as you try new things: Not every action you take is a reflection of your character. Different circumstances call for different reactions. Give yourself leeway without self-judgment.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). There’s something you’re trying to escape from. It may be as small as an awkward moment or a tedious responsibility. It may be as pervasive as a way you talk to yourself that doesn’t help. The change you seek has never been more possible. This is your moment! Take a specific action; make a different routine.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). This is not a board game in which you must play well and make the right choices to win. There are many directions you can go after you roll the dice, including paths you’re not currently seeing. There are mentors and guides around you. You only need to ask for advice and then be awed by what opens up.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There’s already some momentum built up as you head into the week. All you have to do is dive into it. You’ll go fast, making quick decisions that you know you’ll stick by. Maybe life gets a bit messy this week, but the excitement is well worth the cleanup efforts you’ll make later.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). In your life, you’ve had strong moments when you did not just the right thing or the hard thing but the thing that went above and beyond what most people would do. These instances highlighted shining aspects of you and qualities you can employ again this week. Lean into your talents. Lead with grit.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Though you can compartmentalize with the best of them, this week it’s so clear to you how happiness is a function of the whole system. When one part is fantastic, it lifts everything. When one part is dismal, it lowers all. You’ll hone in on the area you know you can raise up, and life gets brighter and brighter.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Among the highlights this week will be stimulating conversation with intelligent people, bright ideas and even brighter plans for implementation. It makes the action steps easy. By Thursday, you’ll already have taken a few steps. Next week, you’ll be making money and forging lasting relationships on this track.
THIS WEEK’S BIRTHDAYS: You’ll receive so abundantly over the next 12 months that it will get hard to keep track of all the luck. The commodity being exchanged is one you value deeply — how wonderful to get just what you want!
